Daniel P. Smith has been the Nursing Home Administrator for Heartwood Extended Healthcare since 2021. He has worked in long term care for more than 25 years. Prior to becoming an Administrator, he was a nurse performing almost every nursing job a nursing home has to offer.Dan enjoys getting to know each of his residents and every staff member employed. As administrator at Heartwood, it is Dan’s mission to create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the facility.
He is a Veteran of the US Army. It is there that his core values became permanently instilled. Dan’s interests include surfing, skiing, history and most of all spending time with his wife and two children.
